Disclaimer:

Okay, let's just dispense with the "legalese" here and get straight to the point.  Not too long ago, we received am email telling us that we should have a "disclaimer" for the site, stating that some of the "stunts" seen on our videos should have a "don't try this at home" warning.  We must admit, grudgingly, of course, that this person is right, but it really gripes us to think that we live in such a lawyer-happy, sue me-sue you world.  We should have had a disclaimer already, but we've always tried not insult the intelligence of our fans.  So, the tone of this disclaimer is not directed at the person who sent the email or any of our regular guests, but rather at those who might think of bringing legal action against us because they were injured while emulating behavior seen in "Smokey Burnouts".

Modern Muscle does not condone reckless driving of any kind. Always drive with your brain in gear and don't take unnecessary (i.e. STUPID) chances. A car is not a toy, yadda yadda yadda. In other words, any injury sustained while doing something STUPID in a car is your own fault, don't look at us. Might as well sue Hollywood for making "The Fast and The Furious" or NASCAR for encouraging speeding.

Modern Muscle does not encourage or discourage anyone sending in a video, and if you try to say otherwise, we'll deny the hell out of it and point you in the direction of this disclaimer. The videos here are for ENTERTAINMENT purposes only. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Got it? Good!

We shouldn't have to tell anyone that, but it seems that today's generation of mouth-breathing, money-grubbing, nose-picking, lawyer-hugging do-gooders wants us to. Keep in mind that these are the same people that wanted a warning on Preparation H that says "do not take this orally" and the ones who wanted warnings on high-voltage electrical appliances stating that it should not be used in the bathtub. These people are the reason that 75% of the cost of a simple ladder is attorney fees. These people are the reason that the rest of us can't open our mouths for fear of being sued for some asinine, mamby-pamby reason. These people are the reason that some deadbeat can remain employed even though he (or she) is not doing their job while getting the same pay and benefits as employees that do perform their job duties. These people are the ones who ruin everything for the rest of us.

This fair country of ours would run a hell of a lot better if people would just learn to accept responsibility for their own actions. Burn yourself with fast food coffee or fall off a ladder? That's because you're a friggin' klutz, not because a large corporation was negligent. Crash your car while yapping away on your wireless? That's because you're a drooling dolt, not because your cell service provider gave you free nights and weekends.

There are far greater dangers on the Internet for young people than watching car videos. Cars are a clean, wholesome interest for any young person. Would you rather have your children looking at web sites devoted to barnyard sex, talking to a 45 year old pervert in a chat room, or would you rather have them watching car videos where everyone is wearing clothes?

Now, those of you who came to be entertained and watch cool cars in action, we welcome you with open arms. Those of you who came to cause trouble…. Don't let the doorknob hit you in the asshole on the way out.

Sincerely,

The Modern Muscle Team
