So What is "Modern" Muscle Anyway?

Notice to Mozilla Firefox users:  Boy are we ever behind the times!  When we started these sites six years ago, Internet Explorer was "The King of Browsers" with nearly 85% of all MCC visitors running IE 4.0 or later.  A recent review of our stats has showed that Mozilla Firefox is being used by nearly 45% of our current visitors.  And guess what?  MCC sounds and videos DO NOT WORK WITH FIREFOX, ONLY IE.  We have hired a new webmaster who is working on making this site Firefox-friendly, so sit tight folks.

Feb 2008-- These are exciting times for gearheads like us.  In Detroit, the balance is shifting and V8, rear wheel drive cars are making a big comeback.  We've already seen the rebirth (and re-death) of the Pontiac GTO, the re-introduction of the HEMI, the re-imagining of the Dodge Charger and the return of the Shelby GT500 and we are eagerly awaiting the return of the Chevrolet Camaro and the Dodge Challenger.  And who knows what things may come from GM's new "Zeta" global platform?

While we here at MCC/MM follow these developments closely, we won't be reporting any of it to you because there are thousands, perhaps millions of blogs, forums and websites already covering them.  It just wouldn't be our style to re-hash the same news and pictures that can be found on any automotive website.  HOWEVER-- as these cars start to make it into the hands of real owners, we'll be out there interviewing the owners and taking high quality photographs and videos.  And as always, readers are more than welcome to send their own media.

When we started www.musclecarcalendar.com in 2002, and www.modernmuscle.net in 2004, we offered something you couldn't get anywhere else-- the sights AND sounds of your favorite muscle cars.  Now, with the advent of free video sharing and uploading, our system has fallen behind the times a bit.  We are in the process of changing this, and you can expect lots of new and exciting things from MCC/MM in the coming year.  Stay tuned...  something new and HUGE is on the horizon.

MCC on MySpace

Sadly, the entire MCC staff is over forty or nearly forty.  It took one of our younger forum members, JoshBoss19, or Cornstock, as he is known on MySpace, to convince us old farts that we needed to get a page on MySpace.  Josh was nice enough to set it up for us.  There's not much there yet, but we will be posting blogs and bulletins pertaining to the development of the new site.  So, come be our friend on MySpace!

Modern Muscle Webmaster on MySpace

MM Webmaster Steve Wingate can also be found on MySpace.   Since Steve is a writer, he is needy by nature and craves kudos and compliments on his work.  If he doesn't get any, he pouts and throws things and we can't afford to replace any more computer equipment, so help us out, will ya?  Visit his page and stroke his delicate scribbler's ego by subscribing to his blog, or better yet...  request to be his friend.  Yes, be his friend...  invite him to parties even!  He promises not to bathe the cat in the punch bowl like he did at the MCC Christmas party two years ago.
